Acrylic Depot can polish edge certain plastic materials for a smooth shine. When cutting plastic materials, be it with a panel saw or CNC machine, the edges are left rough and sharp. We provide two methods of polishing plastic edges.

1. Buffing: The smoothness of acrylic edges is the result of a process called buffing. A power driven tool is used for this method. The end result is a soft matted edge
2. Flaming: This produces a shine finish to the edges certain plastics. The result of only flame polishing is a shiny edge. We recomend flaming after buffing for a smooth and shiny finish.

Using our CNC machines we can stylize the edges of plastic sheets up to an inch thick.
